Volunteer singing leaders and transporters are needed for the Hebron Oaks skilled nursing/rehab care weekly Hymn Sing programs at Oakwood Village University Woods Retirement Community. 1-2 volunteers with quality singing experience are needed to lead, and 2-3 volunteers are needed to transport residents for, the weekly Saturday morning Hymn Sing at Hebron Oaks. Volunteers are needed once a week on Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Additional volunteers are needed to ensure the Hebron Oaks Hymn Sing program continues as scheduled for the benefit of Hebron Oaks residents. The program helps residents continue to be engaged and active related to their interests that enhances their quality of life.
Interested persons need to go through Oakwood Village's registration process to be considered for placement. People will need to volunteer a minimum of 6 months but preferably longer. Orientation and training provided upon placement. Potential singing leaders need quality singing experience. Those who apply will need to provide a brief audition to evaluate their singing ability during the registration process. Transporters will need physical ability to push residents in wheelchairs to get them to and from the Hymn Sing program. This opportunity is sponsored by: Oakwood Village
