Work with legislators, in communities, with the media and with partner organizations on bedrock quality of life public policy issues such as: -Access to affordable, quality health care -Financial security -Long-term care -Accessible housing and communities AARP will keep you informed about the issues that are important to you and you'll enjoy having every opportunity to influence public policy as it is introduced and debated in our State and Nation's capitols. Lend your voice, get involved! You are the power to make it better.
Only requirements is a committed and active interest in learning and working for positive social change through public policy advocacy on a state and national level. There is a brief application, interview and orientation before getting started. Because of the dynamic nature of the position, active access to email is necessary.
